Dog House Restaurant & Take Out

That is because they are getting money hungry.

We have gone to the Dog House for over 15 years until lately when the price of the product has increased and the size has dropped.
Back in Winter 2010 prices went up a Dollar on a curry $12.99 for normal size
Prices raised again Spring 2011 $1.00 same product again Summer 2011 up another $1.00 and today Fall 2011 up another $1.00 so now is $14.99 size has gotten smaller and service has dropped off as well.

It is always a highlight for us to eat at the Dog House Restaurant when we stop in Duncan. The clam chowder is excellent as well as the service! )

After almost 40 tears of cooking behind me ,this place is one,if not best on the island as far as i am concerned ,the food is awesome ,some times more than i can eat ,the staff are also awesome.The Turkey dinner Awesome.The Place is on top of my list.Thanks W.Egeland

August 23, 2010 1pm. The BEST BREAKFAST we have ever had, and we are breakfast connoisseurs. The sausages were perfect, as well as the eggs, hash browns, & the best bottomless pot of good strong coffee we have had in a restaurant. We have eaten there a few times, and its always been very good. Absolutely non-greasey.

Our waitress was amazing. Coffee was cold. Oatmeal was instant and not thoroughly cooked with lumps. Still give them a chance.

I have eaten at Doghouse, many times, and have always found the servce, and food very good, their desserts are great and not overpriced. My mother likes to go there for pie and coffee. She loves it, and is a very good cook, has managed 2 restaurants inpast. It is my favourite place to eat.

Every single time I have visited the doghouse the food and service never fails to disappoint. Very clean and professionally run Nothing bad to say about this place at all.

In November, I went there and everyone in the building (including the workers...) were sick. Of course, the waitresses were nice and doing their best, but when your server is coughing into her hands, rubbing her nose and then working in the food prep area WITHOUT washing her hands or wearing gloves or anything, it ruins your appetite. I had to leave, I don't think I'll be able to go back after that.

This restaurant is very consistant with their food everything is always good time and time again. The service and wait staff are effecient and friendly.Soo.. I decided I would apply for a job here and got hired as a line cook. I can tell you they are a very organized smooth running kitchen. Everything is fresh and the kitchen and is extremely clean.A family owned bussiness who has and will succeed due to their close attention to details. This restaurant has the best desserts I have ever tasted and seen, I know because I am a certified baker.You will be impressesd each time you eat here!

Best Food In Duncan, especially there chicken burgers.

One of the better known restaurants of Duncan. The service is great, the food is great and you get good portions. It is not overpriced and the waitresses are all very hardworking.

A solid, unchanging place to eat
